ABOUT US

KitschëCoo has been transformed.

The brick & mortar shop you once knew, located in the Historic Village of Downtown Greendale, WI.

had closed the doors in April of 2021 to begin a new adventure.

Please Read on for our story.

The Kitschë Sisters, (Eleni & Marina) have been vending Art Markets in the Milwaukee & surrounding areas for over 20 years. They got their love of Arts & Crafts from their sweet Grandmother who would always make crafts at her kitchen table with us. Eleni graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design with her BFA in Printmaking & Photography. Marina had been an educator & personal nanny, often teaching art projects for the elementary school children. With a dream, a very small business loan, and the encouragement of their Granny, the two sisters decided to make some life changes and in 2015, quit their day jobs to start a brick & mortar shop. Building the concept with only a handful of our Artist friends, inviting them to sell their goods & teach classes with us in the Gift Shop and Art Studio, we grew quickly.

While we grew, we sought out new vendors to add to the aesthetic & type of gift shop we wanted to provide.

The gift shop was once quirkily curated & featured over 100 Local Artisan's unique and handmade gifts...not anything you'd find in your regular "Big Box" stores.

In 2020 Eleni & her Husband purchased their first home in Sheboygan Co.

A beautiful property with so much potential. So in 2021, after many long months of commutes, Eleni decided to close up shop and focus on beautifying their property & getting their soon-to-be B&B renovated.

The sisters both live in Sheboygan County, but still vend at local Markets, such as the Milwaukee Makers Market at Discovery World in Downtown, Milwaukee. Eleni & Her Husband continue to work on the BnB, a 1985 Motorhome on their beautiful property. And plans to build a studio/Art Barn for Retreat Experiences are in full force too.

Since our founding, we've always encouraged everyone to support small businesses & your local Makers and Artisans in your state! See our "Artists" tab where we feature our favorite local artisans, and where you can find them now that the shop is closed.
